John Key prepares to sign theTTPA agreement in NZ this Feb. Reminds me of the famous words from the legendary George Carlin. It's a big club… and you ain't in it! As the New Zealand economy remains stagnant John Key still believes we have a Rockstar Economy. All the while he's positioning himself to cream all he can before he leaves NZ Politics. Milking it much!
Firstly, the Attorney-General has ministerial jurisdiction over the Crown Law Office, the Parliamentary Counsel Office, and the Serious Fraud Office. Secondly, the Attorney-General is the principal law officer of the Crown, responsible for supervising the state's administration of the law and for providing legal advice to the government… watch this guy.
Felloffasofa It's been a while and a lot has happened since September last year both in the news and at home.
I start the year with look at Len Brown and his continuing ramp up of Auckland Rate payments. With the Auckland housing marketing on the boil and house values skyrocketing by an average of about $10,000 per month, Len has a sneaky little plan to make a grab for Home owner money based on the increase in the house value. Of course this is just one big excuse to basically reach into the home owners pocket and take some more cash and from this he can buy his wee central city rail link… which no one wants or needs. The worst things for Aucklanders about this scam is: 1) There's almost no way to avoid it 2) The increase in expense could be up tp 40% depending on where you live 3) The Tax is based on house value and does not take into account that the earnings of the rate payer has not increased. Len Brown and the Council Gravy Train Riders are showing themselves as arrogant once again. Lucky we have people we can support such as Penny Bright who is fighting for transparency in Local Council spending. Good luck for the year. Felloffasofa |
