John Key's favourite New Zealand son... poor Richie McCaw is being dragged into political games, expected to support the changing of the New Zealand Flag and promised a knighthood by the PM for all his efforts. Leave the guy alone John - he has enough pressure on him coming up to the WRC.
… and stop trying to syphon off Richie's popularity, your behaviour may be mistaken for political parasitising!
Hot off the Press - an in no way endorsing advertorial of a certain politician is published during the 2014 Election Campaign season... coincidental?
Maybe, but as well as the story inside, Rugby News Magazine has a picture on the cover of an All Black jersey posing and apparent "Pack Leader" - "John Key - #1 All Blacks Supporter".
This weekly published Rugby news magazine is full of relevant news and articles to do with our National Sport... or is that now National Support?
Did the Editor stop for a second to think that splattering this impostor on the cover wouldn't be viewed as political?
The NZ Rugby Union certainly did, as they requested that a small disclaimer be added in the magazine that Mr Key leading the pack wearing an All Blacks jersey was not an endorsement - it was photoshopped.
Then soon after the launch of the issue, the Rugby News Editor felt it necessary to justify his reasons/excuses as to why he put the PM on the cover. But he shouldn't be surprised about all the adverse reactions to the publication - it's all part of the game of political opinions!
Disclaimer: My version of the cover definitely isn't an endorsement of Mr Key leading the pack wearing an All Reds Jersey - it was photoshopped too.
PS: I tried Blue Jerseys but they sucked!
My partner and I like to share the good news. Your comments are welcome.
